Smooth Jazz audience cheers with excitement as Saxophonist Duane Parham "works out" with smooth jazz. Dancing up and down with scales, arpeggios and melodies, club-goers marveled at the tones that flowed from the mouth of Parham's horn. Here's a bit of what they heard:
Smooth jazz not only shows the musical skills of the performer, but its genre reveals melodic lines that a listener can establish in memory for a long time. It is also a combination of jazz fusion and "easy listening." Adding to that, Saxophonist Duane Parham mixes the three (3) genres that makeup his skill set, (Motown, Smooth Jazz and Gospel) to render a soulful sound that get "heads bobbing and foot stamping."

Captivating! Enticing! Duane Parham’s Music Continues to Inspire Audiences Duane Parham is a national and international Smooth Jazz, Gospel and R&B saxophonist whose music spans several decades. Parham is a legend in the Detroit area, both due to his social connections as well as his inspiring music.
As the founder of Educational Arts Society, a nonprofit, he dedicates time to teach and fund aspiring young musicians, providing music to senior homes and helps preserve Detroit’s rich music history. The movie documentary “The Unsung Musicians of the Motown Empire,” and the song “Detroit City is Coming Back” reveal his deep love for the city he calls home.
Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Duane’s latest projects include releasing a CD of the Marvin Gaye/Tammy Terrell song “Your Precious Love,” featuring Vocalist Tammy (Trele) Davis and an instrumental tune called “My Turn.” Both songs will be included on an upcoming album entitled “Sugar Melts” featuring The Four Tops and The Contours.
