The Duane Parham Society will join WDIV's award-winning show with Host Tati Amare on Monday, March 23, 2026. The show features guests and contributors from the local community and connects viewers with local events, festivals, activities, actors, musicians and key issues happening in Detroit area neighborhoods. Energetic hosts make any topic "live" with lots of excitement and positive feelings. So, grab a chair and join the "fun" at 11:00 AM Monday through Friday.
The Story: Before The Duane Parham Society is "LIVE in the D"
Expect "tons" of excitement this Monday as The Duane Parham Society introduces its new song "Duane Wants Some II." Released January 15, 2026, the song is making its way around the world.
“Duane Wants Some II” carries a story that was decades in the making. Growing up, Parham was surrounded by aspiring musicians—friends who shared the same dreams, rehearsed in the same rooms, and envisioned life on the world’s music stage.
As childhood turned into adulthood, their paths began to separate. While many of those friends stepped into national recognition, financial success, and global opportunity, Duane took a different road—working at Chrysler while holding tightly to his musical calling. Though he earned artistic respect and moments of recognition, the rewards he witnessed others receive, never fully reached his doorstep.
Over the years, Duane quietly admitted to himself, “Duane wants some”—some of the success, some of the opportunity, and some of the fulfillment he had watched from afar. Rather than speak it in words alone, he chose to let his saxophone tell the story.
Thus, “Duane Wants Some II” is the "sound" of that journey, finally being released. Described in three words—desire, dreams, and discovery—each note reflects the emotions of perseverance, deferred promise, and unshaken faith. What once felt denied, transforms into melodies that speak boldly and honestly to the world:

Duane uses his horn to connect with audiences worldwide, both emotionally and socially. Several radio stations located in America that (we are able to track) play his music, are located in Alabama, California, Georgia, Michigan and New York; countries we track are Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil and France. Improving our tracking skills is high on the list!
In 2025, Parham produced and published "Voice Whispering in the Wind," a social-conscious song that stresses man's humanity to man, urging humans to work together to promote unity of thought, word and deed.
The song encourages individuals to transform from being mere "voices whispering in the wind" to becoming active participants in the fight for justice and equality. It emphasizes the importance of unity and the power of collective voices to effect change. It also challenges listeners to confront uncomfortable truths about society and encourages a shift toward love, respect, honesty and truth.
