Voices Whispering in the Wind: Gratitude for Brazilian Radio
"Voices Whispering in the Wind," a social-conscious song, has a clear message . . . every moral individual has a responsibility to uncover the error in his own thought and speak out against it in someone else's thought. What is a "voice whispering in the wind?" The description below provides clarity.
Description
Voices Whispering in the Wind was inspired by a song written by Bob Dylan in 1962. It was called Blowin’ in the Wind.” The phrase “voices whispering in the wind” represents a person without focus, purpose or direction. He moves like a bush blown about by the wind, moving from place to place aimlessly, not knowing what it will encounter or where it will land. Such a bush does not think…it allows the wind to carry it wherever it desires. Some people are like that.
Which way does the wind blow?
“Does it blow in a direction that motivates a nation to grab its people off the streets, place them in cages, send them to other countries without due process, rip babies out of the arms of mothers, and persecute citizens for exercising their right to freedom of speech?” Is this where we are today?
If so, how did the “winds of our minds” lead us to choose such a path? Are we a dictatorship or democracy? How did we become where are, and how do we move forward? Do we do nothing and become voices whispering in the wind, or do we strive to become a voice changing with the wind—winds of love, respect, freedom, justice, inclusion and man’s humanity to man? Do we prove that “freedom and justice have not died, because they live in the hearts and souls of the spiritual man, gleaming with the radiant sword of truth and righteousness? YOU DECIDE.
"Voices whispering in the wind" serves as a poignant reminder of the need for awareness and action in the face of societal challenges. It calls for introspection and encourages individuals to ensure their voices contribute to a more just and compassionate world.
A voice changing with the wind stresses man's humanity to man: working together to promote unity of thought, word and action.
