Duane Parham's "My Turn"

Duane Parham was born Walter Duane Parham to parents Walter and Queenie Parham.  He was the first of two (2) children and because he was born with a hole in his heart, Young Duane sat on the sidelines during gym classes, watched neighborhood children play outside from his window and gave up any notion of playing a musical instrument.

Life experiences threw many “curve balls at Duane but also landed some well-placed “strikes.”  Miraculously one day, he discovered blowing a horn could be done!  Around twelve or thirteen years old, Parham picked up a saxophone, and has been in a serious relationship with one since that day.

As a performer, he has shared stages with some of the most influential figures on the scene.  Included are The Four Tops, The Miracles, The Contours, The Original Vandellas, Pat Lewis, Carolyn Crawford and five-time Grammy award winner Michael J. Powell.  Producers were Carl “Butch” Small and Maurice Whitsett.

His latest CD Singles are Your Precious Love and My Turn.

Now that you have a bit of information about the DJ and performer...join us Firday night @ 10:15 PM on Glacer FM to hear . . . My Turn!
